Maria Jose Gatti serves as the Executive Director Community Engagement for MGM Resorts International. She is responsible for fostering and maintaining relationships with national and local community organizations. Through these relationships, she supports the Company’s business objectives, and additionally facilitates the Company’s participation in programs and events that support the community. She also implements programs to help educate and engage the employees of MGM Resorts on community related initiatives, activities and issues. Maria Jose also serves as the President of The MGM Resorts Foundation.

In 2008, Maria Jose joined Luxor Hotel and Casino, an MGM Resorts International property, as Director of Guest Experience and in 2010 was appointed to also oversee the Guest Experience program for both Luxor and Excalibur Hotels and Casinos. In this capacity, Maria was responsible for managing the reputation of the properties by handling guest feedback and training employees to provide exceptional guest service. During her three years at the properties, she served as chair of the Property CSR Councils; which were responsible for implementing the Company’s CSR principles into the properties’ culture.

Before joining MGM Resorts, Maria Jose Gatti served as the Director of Programs for the Culinary Academy of Las Vegas and Nevada Partners two local non-profit organizations that focus on employment and training in the field of hospitality and gaming. In this role, she was responsible for developing, coordinating and administering training programs to assist unemployed and under-employed people with finding careers in the Hospitality Industry. Through her relationships with leaders in Southern Nevada’s casino and hotel industry, she coordinated job opportunities for thousands of people in the community. Her responsibilities included administering and monitoring federal grants to support the organization’s employment programs. She also oversaw the evaluation and approval process of all Culinary Academy programs from the State of Nevada Postsecondary Education office.
