UNLV Office of Community Engagement

Sue DiBella directs the university’s Office of Community Engagement, working to support, facilitate, and promote collaboration, partnership, and engagement between the university and its many constituent groups. Previous to leading the Office of Community Engagement, she served as the director of communication and planning for the UNLV Division of Research and Economic Development. Previously, she served in the UNLV News and Public Information Office, where she held various positions, including assistant director and founding editor of UNLV Magazine. Sue holds both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in communication studies from UNLV. Her scholarly interests include the effectiveness of research communication and media coverage of science. She is the lead author of a scholarly article on scientists’ reasons for consenting to media interviews and is co-editor of the book, Implementing a Comprehensive Research Compliance Program: A Handbook for Research Officers.
