Founder & Board President

Baby’s Bounty

Since 1988 Kim Amato has been a community organizer and activist with a focus on families and child welfare. While running the Nevada Homeless Alliance, Ms. Amato recognized a gap in services for low income families with a newborn who were leaving the hospital with nothing more than the diaper and receiving blanket provided by the hospital. She was inspired to launch a non-profit, Baby’s Bounty, to assist those families by providing a safe sleep environment, a proper car seat, clean clothes, bathtubs, hygiene items and front carriers to promote bonding. Since launching Baby’s Bounty in July 2008, over 4,500 children born into poverty have received Baby Bundles with the most essential items for their health, safety and well-being.
