John Pelletier has been a member of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for the past 18 years. Some assignments include SWAT Commander, K-9 Commander, Gang Sergeant and member of Academy Staff.

John currently holds the rank of Captain and commands the Convention Center Area Command. In this position he oversees 235 employees. Who answer or respond annually to 150,000 calls for service. This command serves and protects the Las Vegas “strip” area which is the economic engine for the State of Nevada and the 43 million guests who visit.

John has received the Departments’ Medal of Honor and has received Unit Exemplary Service award four separate times. As well as the James D. Hoff award for service above the call of duty.

John earned his bachelor’s degree from UNLV in Political Science.
